Manchester United have had some of the world's best players wear their famous No. 7 jersey, like George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo. Unfortunately for Angel Di Maria, he failed to continue the legacy.
Beckham, considered one of United's best players ever, posted a picture of himself in the Red Devils' new kit, with his surname and the number seven on the back.
Could Beckham's picture be a dig at Di Maria?
The Argentine joined the Red Devils at the start of the past campaign, and with all the hype that surrounded the big-money move, it's sad to see Di Maria nearing a move away from Old Trafford just one season later.
Perhaps what Becks was saying here is: "You're a good player, but you're no David Beckham" – which I'm sure we United fans would agree on.
Do you think Beckham was having a sly dig at Di Maria with this post? Have your say in the comments section below.
