What's the story?
The Paris Saint Germain forward is the talk of the football world at the moment after he claimed his seventh Ballon d'Or award on Monday evening in France. Messi's win wasn't short of any controversy, with many fans feeling that Robert Lewandowski deserved the accolade.
A Close Battle
With 170 Journalists voting to decide the winner of the coveted prize, Messi edged Lewandowski by a mere 33 points. In what was a close battle, Messi accepted the award but reiterated that it was an honour to come up against him and that the Bayern star deserved the award last year.
Nonetheless, it can be said that Messi's exploits with Argentina in the recent Copa America tournament held much weight with those who voted in his favour, as he managed to win his first bit of silverware with his beloved Argentina.

That being said, Messi took to his Instagram account a couple of days before the award ceremony and showcased his new clothing catalogue.
In collaboration Sik Silk, a UK fashion label, the Messi X Sik Silk collection comes with a number of streetwear items such as jackets, jeans, cargo pants, t-shirts and slippers.
