As South Africa gear up for the upcoming AFCON, a couple of the country's star players took the time to visit the church of controversial pastor Shepherd Bushiri. Check it out.
Strausborg striker Lebo Mothiba, Bidvest Wits defender Buhle Mkhwanazi and Stellenbosch FC defender Sibusiso Mthethwa, all joined Tiyani Mabunda in visiting Prophet Shepherd Bushiri's Enlightened Christian Gathering church.
The Malawian pastor has come under the spotlight following money laundering and fraud allegations earlier this year.
'The Major One' as Bushiri is known, shared the visit of the stars on his Instagram, that boasts 282 000 followers.
"We had four South Africa soccer stars during our International Visitors Programme on Sunday. My prayer is for God to meet their prayers as they continue to minister the word through their skills," Bushiri captioned the post.
The players were all pictured with their playing kits in their hands as Bushiri prayed for them.
South African fans will be hoping that Bushiri's prayer helps Bafana progress from their group of death, where they are paired against Morocco, Ivory Coast and Namibia.
What do you think of Bafana's chances of progressing to the knockout rounds of the AFCON?
