Davids' Simba Facing Confed Cup Exit

Fadlu Davids has lamented his sides inability to stop a rumoured Kaizer Chiefs target in their latest league draw.

Al Masry 2-0 Simba SC

Fadlu Davids' Simba SC suffered a 2-0 defeat to Al Masry in the first leg of their  CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final on Wednesday evening.

Simba finished top of the group after claiming four wins from six matches, while Al Masry secured second spot in Group D.

The home side got the game's opening goal in the 16th minute courtesy of a strike from Abderrahim Deghmoum.

The Egyptian Premier League outfit went on to grab the cushion goal in the 89th minute, with John Okoye Ebuka finding the back of the net.

David's Simba will now look to turn the clash around in Tanzania next week.

CS Constantine 1-1 USM Alger

CS Constantine and USM Alger played to a 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Stade Mohamed-Hamlaoui.

The home side broke the deadlock after 29 minutes as Mounder Temine fired home his second goal in the competition.

Alger had the chance to pull level from the penalty spot on 54 minutes, but Mehdi Merghem was unable to convert.

Nevertheless, the visitors got their crucial away goal in the 73rd minute via the boot of Kevin Mundeko.

Alger did finish the game with a player less after Salim Boukhenchouche was given his marching orders with 15 minutes to play after picking up his second yellow card of the game.

ASEC Mimosas 0-1 RS Berkane

Newly crowned Moroccan champions RS Berkane secured a crucial 1-0 win away to ASEC Mimosas in their first leg.

After a goalless first half, the Moroccans took the lead in the 75th minute thanks to Imad Riahi's second goal of the campaign.

ASEC's hopes of pulling a goal back suffered a blow five minutes later when defender Kouadio Koffi picked up his second yellow and was sent off.
