New Name Linked With Pirates

Orlando Pirates are understood to be monitoring Marumo Gallants' striker Junior Zindoga, with a view to potentially sign him, according to sources close to the club.

The 26-year-old Zimbabwean forward has made an instant impact since joining Gallants in January from Eswatini side Nsingizini Hotspurs FC.

Despite scoring just once in nine appearances – seven in the Betway Premiership and two in the Nedbank Cup – Zindoga has earned praise for his tireless work ethic and physical presence upfront.

Pirates are believed to be keeping a close eye on the powerful striker, impressed by his contributions on the field.

His standout performance came earlier this month when Gallants stunned the Buccaneers with a 2-0 victory in Mangaung, a result that showcased his influence on the team.

While no official approach has been made, insiders suggest the Soweto giants could follow up with further inquiries.

Given Pirates' need to bolster their attacking options, Zindoga's ability to hold up play and create opportunities for teammates could make him a valuable addition.

"The boy has been impressive, and Pirates are one of the clubs monitoring him. His physical presence upfront and his high work-rate have made him stand out," said the source.

Some of the players linked with the Buccaneers, as the club is expected to make significant changes to their playing personnel at the end of the season, include Thabo Moloisane and Fawaaz Basadien from Stellenbosch FC, Vuyo Letlapa from Sekhukhune United, Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi from Polokwane City, as well as AmaZulu's Tshepang Moremi, Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United and Richards Bay FC's Yanela Mbuthuma, among others.
