The story

Kaizer Chiefs legend and former Bafana Bafana captain Lucas "Rhoo" Radebe stunned recently by appearing on the cover of GQ South Africa's Sport and Tech issue, in collaboration with the Lay's.

As part of his cover shoot with GQ SA, the accomplished sports figure, who featured in two FIFA World Cup tournaments for Bafana, touched on a moment on the pitch he'll never forget.

The former Leeds United captain and cult hero also disclosed the one match he would love to travel back in time to relive. Radebe singled out two special caps for Bafana.

As his most unforgettable match moment, Rhoo mentioned South Africa's first ever World Cup match at the 1998 global showpiece hosted in France.

Radebe led Bafana out for their World Cup debut on 12 June 1998, in what turned out to be a 3-0 humbling at the hands of eventual tournament winners Les Bleus, who boasted the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps, Lillian Thuram and Thierry Henry in their ranks.

The legendary centre back was also lucky enough to be part of Bafana's 1996 Africa Cup of Nations winning side under Clive Barker and would happily relive their 2-0 final win at the FNB Stadium.
