Kutumela Weighing Options For Move Abroad

Thabiso Kutumela could be looking beyond the borders of Mzansi for his next move as he continues to weigh his options in these latter stages of the season.

The Richards Bay FC forward is nearing the end of his contract, and indications are that he may be set for an exit from the club.

After joining the Natal Rich Boyz at the start of the season following his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns, Kutumela has struggled for regular game time.

According to sources, the 31-year-old's representatives have been exploring opportunities in other African leagues or the Middle East.

With limited playing time at Richards Bay, a move abroad could offer Kutumela a fresh start and a chance to reignite his career.

In the last 10 league matches for Bay, Kutumela has featured only three times as a substitute, including a brief three-minute appearance in the team's recent 2-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs.

Overall, he has made 11 appearances across all competitions, with only two starts to his name and a single goal this season.

"A move abroad is being bandied about for Thabiso Kutumela as he has been weighing options. His contract with Richards Bay will be up in June and his handlers have been in contact with some of the top clubs around the continent, including in Tanzania and Egypt. There's also a possibility of a move to the Middle East," said the source.
