The story

After recently signing a short-term contract with Mamelodi Sundowns until the end of the current season, South Africa international striker, Mothiba has revealed a little bit more about himself to his new fans.

Before joining Downs, the 29-year-old was a free agent since leaving Ligue 1 side RSC Strasbourg, where he spent six years.

During his time there, Mothiba scored 20 goals and provided six assists in 96 appearances, despite battling a recurring knee injury, which ultimately led to his departure.

He then returned to Sundowns, his boyhood club, for a training stint in January. Impressed by his performances, the club's technical team offered him a contract.

Masandawana's media team put Mothiba on the spot with some quick-fire questions, where they dubbed him "Mr Tuck In" for his signature on-pitch look that sees him tucking his jersey in.

From revealing his love for pap to mentioning the one thing he can't live without, Mothiba shared a sneak peak into his interests and flexed some of his French.

When asked about his favourite home cooked meal, Mothiba revealed that he enjoys pap and Mogodu (tripe) and mentioned that Amapiano was the one thing that reminded him of home while in France.
