With Moneeb Josephs and Vasili Manousakis expected to join Benni McCarthy at the Kenyan national team, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is reportedly insisting that he add a local coach as well.

It is alleged that the Harambee Stars will announce the Cape Town native as their new head coach later this week. Manchester United did not renew Benni McCarthy's contract at the start of the season, and ever since, speculation has been rampant about what the former striker's next coaching role will be.
Bafana Bafana's all-time top goalscorer alluded to possibly moving to Major League Soccer, while there were also rumours about him potentially leading a CAF Champions League contender such as Mamelodi Sundowns. However, it now appears he will be taking a bold step towards leading the East African outfit.
Reports have claimed that he will be joined by former teammate Josephs as his goalkeeping coach, while Manousakis will be one of his assistants. However, according to Pulse Sports Kenya, the FKF will reinforce the former Cape Town City manager's technical team by providing him with a local tactician—Nicholas Muyoti.
A source informed the Kenyan publication: "While he (McCarthy) will come with his technical staff, we will add one or two local coaches to his technical staff, and so far, I can confirm that Nicholas (Muyoti) will join the technical team. He is one of those who were targeted for the role, and he will come in as one of the assistants to support the new technical bench."

Muyoti, a former Harambee Stars representative, recently resigned from his head coaching role with Nairobi City Stars and has reportedly been tasked with helping the South African contingent acclimatise to the new environment more quickly.
