According to Cadena SER, the entire purpose of the 33-year-old's recent return to Santos is to position himself for a move to the Catalan giants before the start of the 2025/26 season.

Brazil's all-time top goalscorer recently terminated his lucrative contract with Saudi champions Al Hilal and allegedly took a massive pay cut to return to his boyhood club after an injury-plagued spell in the oil-rich kingdom.

MultiChoice, in collaboration with Premier Skills, is championing youth development by leveraging the power of football to equip young people with essential life skills, coaching expertise, and leadership training.

Neymar only played seven matches in the one and a half years he was in Riyadh, but the same report suggests that his move to Peixe was intended to show top European clubs that he is still capable of playing and contributing at the highest level.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is next year, likely marking the attacker's final chance to claim football's most coveted prize, and it is understood that he wants to be in the Selecao squad that will compete in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.

Barcelona is arguably where Neymar enjoyed his best spell, as his individual accomplishments played a crucial role in the team's success. He won the treble during the 2014/15 campaign and finished third in the Ballon d'Or voting in 2015.

It seems that the Mogi das Cruzes native is aware of his former club's desire to sign a left-sided attacker, and he is keen to return to Barça as soon as possible. Blaugrana sporting director Deco previously stated that the club would love to welcome Neymar back, so there is a strong chance that a deal could be reached.
