On Deadline Day last week, Wolverhampton Wanderers made a late move for Marshall Munetsi, as the Zimbabwean completed his transition from Stade Reims in Ligue 1 to the English top flight.

The box-to-box midfielder did not have to wait long to make his first appearance for the West Midlands side, as he came off the bench on Sunday during Wolves' 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

After the match, the former Buccaneer expressed his delight at debuting for the English side, labelling it a dream come true for him.

"I'm so delighted because it has been a dream come true for me representing a big club like Wolves," Munetsi told the club's official media.

"What a way to start. I think the guys had already done the most difficult job to take the lead, and I was just there to do my small part.

"I think it has been very easy because everybody is very kind, everybody is willing to help, assist me in getting comfortable.

"So I think it hasn't been that difficult, from the coaching staff to the players; they're so kind. It has been just about getting to know the system and how we play. Everything else has been very good," the Harare native added.

"I think it would have been a dream come true [to score], but you know we save the more goals to come in the upcoming games.

"But I was just happy to do a small part in the win, and hopefully, we can continue from here. I'm 28 now, and there's a lot that I've learned from football, so I think it's the right time for me to showcase it."
