Kaizer Chiefs remain in the hunt for CAF Confederation Cup qualification following their recent 1-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership. Not only will the win have likely delighted the Glamour Boys' fans, but so too will their coach's post-match comments.

After the triumph at the Danie Craven Stadium, Nabi revealed that he had snubbed the opportunity to coach his nation, Tunisia, in favour of staying at Naturena.

The 2004 African champions have been looking for a head coach ever since Kais Yaakoubi left the national team role after successfully qualifying the Carthage Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Coaches such as Nabi, Carlos Queiroz and RS Berkane's Moin Chaabani were all touted as possible appointments for the North African outfit. However, the Tunisian Football Federation has now come to an official decision on their next head coach, concluding that Sami Trabelsi will take the reins.

Trabelsi will be returning to coach his native Tunisia for a second time, having previously been at the helm between 2011 and 2013. However, after he failed to progress from Group D during the 2013 AFCON in South Africa, the Sfax native departed and went on to coach Qatari side Al-Sailiya SC, where he remained until 2023.
