Chiefs React To Saile's Debut SSU Goal With Hilarious Meme

Christian Saile and Kayden Rademeyer during the Nedbank Cup, Last 32 match between Magesi FC and SuperSport United at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 28 January 2025 in Polokwane, South Africa.

Kaizer Chiefs responded in the cheekiest way possible after Christian Saile Basomboli scored on debut for SuperSport United.

The story

SuperSport United secured their spot in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 with a 2-0 victory over Magesi, with goals from Vincent Pule and new signing Christian Saile, at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday night.

Gavin Hunt wasted no time in thrusting ex-Kaizer Chiefs forward, Saile into the starting line-up, with the Congolese paceman repaying the faith shown in him with a solid performance and an individual effort for his goal.

For his celebration, the 25-year-old seemed to gesture to his critics to "hush" after an unsuccessful stint at the Glamour Boys where he was heavily critiqued on social media for his performances.

In reaction to the goal, Kaizer Chiefs' official Twitter/X page responded to a post from SuperSport United celebrating Saile's debut goal with the classic, "mouth open in shock" reaction meme gif.

It's not clear whether Amakhosi's social media team replied to Saile's goal in this manner due to his celebration or not, regardless, the Khosi Nation won't forget it in a hurry.

In nearly 50 appearances for Chiefs, Saile managed just six goals and three assists and was not able to nail down a starting role under Nasreddine Nabi during the first half of this season.
