Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller criticised the referee after his side's 2-1 defeat to Orlando Pirates on Saturday night.
The Red Devils had to settle for second spot in Group C after losing to the Buccaneers at the Cairo International Stadium.

Koller, however, was not pleased with the man in the middle and questioned the lack of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the group stages.
Koller told reporters, as per Kooora.
"Why does CAF not use video technology in the group stage? The African Champions League is the biggest tournament at the competitive level on the continent?"
"We apologize to the referees because they did not see all the refereeing cases clearly, and it is important that they are provided with assistance."
"CAF must reconsider the decision to exclude VAR from the group stage."
