Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has revealed why he was "upset" with his squad despite taking points away from Premier League table-toppers Liverpool.

On Sunday evening, the Red Devils became only the third side this season to stop the Merseysiders from winning at Anfield, as they held Arne Slot's charges to a 2-2 draw.
The result came off the back of a run of four successive losses in all competitions, the last three coming in the league.
After United's stalemate against their archrivals, the Portuguese tactician expressed his disappointment with his team, claiming that he was frustrated the squad could not show the same level of desire against teams such as Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bournemouth, and Newcastle United as they did against Liverpool.
"I get more mad because of the other games," he said, as per the Daily Mail.
"It's even harder to understand some things. This is not about the system, the technique, it's about something else...
"I am upset today, really upset. I am pleased with the performance but everyone today is going to say that the team did a good job. Today I am allowed to be the only guy upset with the team — but today we were a team.

"We had some good games during this last month but then we dropped again. It's something that we need to be really consistent. We had this talk after (winning against) Manchester City, it was the same."
