Pep Tipped To Resign: 'He’s Showing Signs ..'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been tipped to resign if the club's campaign does not improve.

The Citizens drew 1-1 with Everton on Boxing Day, making it just one win in the last 11 matches across all competitions.

The draw against the Toffees has left the Cityzens in seventh position and 14 points behind league leaders Liverpool heading into the final fixture of the year.

Former Everton chairman Keith Wyness claims Guardiola is unbackable and will only resign if he wants to leave should the situation get worse this season.

"A lot of people have been asking me – and I do believe he is unsackable," Wyness told Football Insider.

"I do think he's unsackable, but he's clever enough to know when it's time to go.

"Even though he signed a contract extension, he may decide that he needs a rest. He's showing signs of being burnt out – to a degree.

"He's given City so much success and so many seasons they would have never expected. From the club's point of view, he will be unsackable."
