Venue: King Power Stadium

Blues club captain Reece James missed out through injury as Wesley Fofana started at right-back, while Joao Felix was given star in the attack.

The Blues dominated in the early stages and got their reward on 15 minutes Nicolas Jackson bagged his seventh goal of the campaign with a composed finish after the Foxes failed to clear their lines.

Leicester, meanwhile, were struggling to get out of their own half in the early stages, as veteran striker Jamie Vardy barely got a touch of the ball in the opposition half.

The visitors had the ball in the back of the net after 30 minutes when Noni Madueke calmly slot home, however the celebrations were cut short due Marc Cucurella being offside in the build-up.

Enzo Maresca's charges carried that momentum into the second half and were unlucky not to have a second goal ten minutes in when Cole Palmer's goal-bound strike was blocked by his own teammate Madueke a couple yards away from the line.

Foxes coach responded with a double change as Jordan Ayew and Stephy Mavididi replaced Kasey McAteer and Wilfried Ndidi for the final 20 minutes of the second half.

However, it was Chelsea doubled their lead in the 74th minute when goalkeeper Mads Hermansen parried Jackson's header into the path of Enzo Fernandez, who nodded into the back of the net for his first goal of the league campaign.

The Foxes did manage to pull one goal back in second-half stoppage time when Ayew converted from the penalty spot, but it was too little too late as the Blues held on for maximum points.
