Chivaviro Tipped To Come Back Stronger For Chiefs

Ranga Chivaviro of Kaizer Chiefs challenged by Mothobi Mvala of Mamelodi Sundowns during the 2024 Carling Knockout Cup match between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium, Johannesburg on the 02 November 2024

Ranga Chivaviro has been tipped to come back strong for Kaizer Chiefs as the goal remains the same for the club and that is to improve the team's results and position on the log.

Chivaviro has emerged as the leading striker for Chiefs under coach Nasreddine Nabi and has so far scored three goals from seven appearances across all competitions.

The burly forward is rated highly by Nabi, who has been encouraging him to keep on working on improving his game and hoping for him to score goals for the team to move up the Betway Premiership standings.

Despite the 31-year-old player's efforts, he has found himself appearing to be a target of the boo boys who have seemed to target him in some matches.

The former Marumo Gallants top goal scorer appeared to be visibly irritated by the chants from fans and showed it with his hand-to-mouth gesture as if to say they were talking too much as part of his goal celebration against SuperSport United in the Carling Knockout last 16.

That was before Chiefs were knocked out by Mamelodi Sundowns in the quarter-finals.

While some players might have had their spirits dampened by the fans' unfortunate actions, Chivaviro is said to be rejuvenated and working hard at training to improve in the upcoming matches.

"Don't be surprised to see a much-improved player in him after the FIFA break. One thing about him is that he is a strong boy with a big heart and what happened in that game with regards to his reaction to the fans was in the heat of the moment, but it doesn't mean that he is shaken. You can expect improved performances and goals from him in games leading up to the January break," said the source.
