Broos Announces Final Bafana Squad

Broos Announces Final Bafana Squad

Mothobi Mvala is back in the Bafana Bafana after recovering from injury.

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his squad for the final two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with a few players returning to the team.

Bafana are set to take on Uganda and South Sudan in their final two group K qualifiers, needing three more points to books themselves a spot at the competition set to be played in Morocco.

Currently in second place on the standings in group K, Bafana will take on Uganda away from home on November 15 and will then host South Sudan four days later in Cape Town in their final qualifier.

As previously reported by the Siya crew, Mothobi Mvala and Evidence Makgopa make a return to the squad after missing out on all the qualifiers the team has played so far. Mvala returned from injury recently for Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mihlali Mayambela has also returned to the squad for the club after missing out in the previous qualifiers.

Bafana will be without injured Themba Zwane and Broos will have to find a player who can be the creative spark in the team for the remaining two matches. Lyle Foster is also out with injury and this will give Makgopa an opportunity to prove himself upfront.

There is still no place in the team for Percy Tau, who was in the preliminary squad.
