Man Utd Make 'New' Ten Hag Decision

Man Utd Make 'New' Ten Hag Decision

Manchester United's board has reportedly made a fresh decision on Erik ten Hag's future at the club.

The Dutchman appears set to remain in charge at Old Trafford for the rest of the season, provided he builds on last weekend's victory over Brentford.

Sources from GiveMeSport indicate that co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has decided against compiling a shortlist of potential successors, signalling his support for the 54-year-old.

In a thrilling encounter, Alejandro Garnacho equalised after Mikkel Damsgaard's first-half opener for Brentford, with Rasmus Hojlund sealing the comeback by scoring his second goal of the season.

This win not only alleviated the pressure on Ten Hag, but also secured crucial points as the Red Devils aim to climb the Premier League table.

Ratcliffe, who has overseen football operations since acquiring a 27.7% stake in United in February, opted to back Ten Hag following last season's FA Cup triumph.

As key figures at the club refrain from discussing potential replacements, the Dutch coach's chances of retaining his position have improved significantly.

Despite facing a pay cut to below £7 million (R159.8 million) per year due to the team's failure to qualify for the UEFA Champions League last term, Ten Hag has been granted the chance to demonstrate that he deserves to continue at Old Trafford.

Sources suggest that the victory over Brentford could be pivotal for Ten Hag's future, particularly given that it was achieved against a team managed by Thomas Frank, who is well-respected within the Manchester club's hierarchy.
