It has been a stuttering start to life in Casablanca for the 37-year-old.
Since taking charge of the Red Castle, Mokwena has seen the team won four games, drawn three and lost two across all competitions.
Despite the erratic start to the campaign, the club is seemingly still fully behind the Johannesburg native, and are willing to assist him in his efforts to help them return to the summit of Moroccan football.
One of the ways in which the club is seeking to help Mokwena achieve more consistency is by bringing in a Moroccan assistant to his technical staff.
As things stand, the entirety of the 2024 African Football League winner's technical team consists of South Africans, and Wydad have suggested that he integrate an assistant who is more familiar with the footballing landscape in the nation.
According to Le Site Info Sports, the former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach has agreed to the implementation of this strategy.
Names such as Rachid Daoudi and Abdelilah Saber are rumoured to be leading candidates for the mooted position, but the same report claims that the duo are not in contention for the role.
