Reports suggest the Saudi Pro League outfit is eager to extend the 39-year-old's stay at the club ahead of the expiration of his contract in 2025.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner joined the Knights of Najd in January 2023 following the termination of his deal at Manchester United before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

He has since, according to Transfermarkt, scored 64 goals in 71 appearances for the club across all competitions and assisted 17 times.

Journalist Nicolo Shira reports that Al Nassr are set to propose he commits to a renewal amid his ambition of playing at the 2026 World Cup with Portugal.

Ronaldo is believed to be eyeing a sixth World Cup appearance, a feat no other player in history has achieved before.

The ex-Real Madrid talisman has netted on six occasions so far this season for Al Nassr, who are currently fourth on the table.
