EPL: Haaland Breaks Rooney's Record, Liverpool Lose

Manchester City 2-1 Brentford

Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the Premier League season with a come-from-behind win over Brentford.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Yoane Wissa bagged his third goal of the season after just one minute, silencing the home crowd.

City managed to get back on level terms on 19 minutes through Erling Haaland, who took his tally to eight goals in the league this season.

The turnaround was complete in the 32nd minute as Haaland latched onto a long ball from Ederson before composing himself to slot home his ninth of the campaign.

Haaland has now broken Wayne Rooney's record for most goal in the opening four games of a Premier League season.

Liverpool 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season after losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

After a scoreless first half, Forest broke the deadlock in the 73nd minute when a swift counter attack ended with Callum Hudson-Odoi curling one into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Arne Slot's charges threw everything forward in search of an equaliser, but the visitors remained resolute.

Fulham 1-1 West Ham United

West Ham United struck late in the second half to earn themselves a 1-1 draw against Fulham.

The home side took the lead in the 24th minute when new signing Emile Smith-Rowe did well to set up Raul Jimenez for his first goal of the campaign.

The Hammers left it late to bag the equaliser, as Danny Ings fired home in second-half stoppage time.

Brighton Hove Albion 0-0 Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town claimed their second point of the season after a goalless draw with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

Crystal Palace 2-2 Leicester City

Crystal Palace rallied back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Leicester City at Selhurst Park.

The Foxes got the breakthrough after 21 minutes as veteran forward Jamie Vardy bagged his second goal of the season with a neat finish.

Leicester managed to double their lead shortly after the break, as Stephy Mavididi bagged his first league goal.

Palace did pull one back a minute later when Jean-Philippe Mateta opened his account for the campaign, before the French striker grabbed the equaliser in second-half stoppage time.
