Real Madrid 'Add' New Star To 2025 Transfer Wish List

Real Madrid 'Add' New Star To 2025 Transfer Wish List

Real Madrid have reportedly added a new midfielder to their list of potential successors to Toni Kroos.

After Manchester City's Rodri, Real Madrid have reportedly added a new star to their transfer wish list for next year.

Three games into the new LALIGA season, it seems Los Blancos are already feeling the effects of Toni Kroos' retirement.

The club do have two midfielders who can take on the German's duties in Luka Modric and Arda Guler, but the Croat is believed to no longer have the physical capacity to play the role at an optimum level, and the Turkish playmaker, at 19, is still understood to be in his developmental phase.

It is for this reason that Los Merengues are now looking to find a ready-made midfielder who can succeed their German legend.

City's Rodri and Paris Saint-Germain's Vitinha are understood to have been of interest to Real in recent weeks, but according to Sport, a new name has been added to that list, that of Fabian Ruiz.

The 28-year-old PSG midfielder was a standout performer during Spain's 2024 UEFA European Championship campaign this past off-season, and is said to have caught the attention of the Spanish champions once again.

Carlo Ancelotti is the manager who recruited him when he was manager at Napoli, but following that transfer in 2018, both parties are now at new clubs.

The Italian tactician is now heading Real's first team once again, while Ruiz is playing for PSG, but a reunion could be on the cards as the record European champions are considering making a move for the Real Betis academy graduate.
