R590m Deal On The Cards For Bafana Striker

R590m Deal On The Cards For Bafana Striker

Lyle Foster has shown that it's possible to bounce back from dark times, with the Bafana Bafana international on the brink of securing a move to the Premier League from Burnley.

Close to a year ago, the former Orlando Pirates player was in a tough situation on a personal level, struggling with his mental health and he was not quite the same on the pitch in terms of his performances, as Burnley went on to get relegated under former manager Vincent Kompany.

Now, with the transfer window set to draw toward a close in England this week, the Burnley striker is reportedly on the verge of joining Ipswich Town, one of the newly promoted clubs in the Premier League.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, a journalist in England, a loan move is on the cards for the 23-year-old Foster, who is enjoying a great start to his campaign with Burnley in the Championship, having featured in all three matches for the Clarets.

According to Tavolieri, it's a loan move with an obligation to buy - fixed at £25 million (R590 million).

Should the move happen, Foster will get another opportunity to prove himself in the top flight of English football. He made a promising start last season, scoring three goals quickly for the club in the top flight. That period included a red card against Nottingham Forrest, but it was a promising start for the striker.

In all, Foster finished the campaign with five goals in 24 league appearances and will no doubt be looking at improving on this, if the move to Ipswich happens.
