The 39-year-old opened the scoring in Al Nassr's Saudi Super Cup final clash against league champions Al Hilal on Saturday, but a second-half collapse quickly dampened the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's spirits.

Ronaldo's strike sent his side into the half-time break 1-0 ahead before Al Hilal, who finished the Saudi Pro League unbeaten last season, came out for the second 45 minutes in an inspired mood.

Within 17 minutes, Al Nassr found themselves trailing 4-1 following a goal from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a brace from Aleksandar Mitrovic, and a strike from Brazilian winger Malcom.

The second-half demolition had Ronaldo fuming, and he was caught on camera holding his hands to his ear, gesturing to his colleagues that they had been sleeping in defence.

The ex-Real Madrid and Manchester United man grabbed more headlines when he stormed off the field before the medal ceremony.

Ronaldo was reportedly seen heading down the tunnel before he could collect his runners-up medal at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Sports City ground in Abha.
