There has been a noticeable improvement for Bafana Bafana in the latest FIFA rankings, as issued by the world's football governing body.
Having previously appeared in position 59 in the world, Bafana have moved up by two places to 57th in the latest FIFA rankings, which came out on Thursday.

The South African senior national team remains in position 10 in Africa.
The good news on the rankings comes after the South African Football Association confirmed the completion of a successful Technical Committee meeting at SAFA House on Wednesday, where a wide range of topics were discussed.

The improvement in the rankings should serve as motivation to the team ahead of their crucial upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Following the draw for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers earlier this month, it was confirmed that South Africa will face face Uganda, Congo and South Sudan in Group K as Hugo Broos and the team will aim to make it to Morocco next year to continue from where they left off in Ivory Coast when they finished third in the tournament earlier this year.
