The future of Orlando Pirates midfielder Ndabayithethwa Phillip Ndlondlo could be in jeopardy as the club plans to inject fresh talent into the midfield, according to insiders privy to information.
Following the acquisition of Thalente Mbatha in January, the Buccaneers were exploring additional options to bolster their squad, potentially placing Ndlondlo's position in question.

Siya sources close to the situation have indicated that Ndlondlo might be one of the players considered for a move away from the club, either on loan or through a permanent transfer.
"It's a tight situation for him. His future really hangs in the balance as the club is looking at revamping the squad for the next season. They are in talks with him for a loan deal until his contract expires in June next year," said the Siya source who then discussed another possibility.
"Or he could be involved in a permanent move this year. There are clubs interested in him as well but it's still early stages to say much. But seriously, his future is up for discussion," the source added.
A second insider stated that any decision regarding Ndlondlo's future would likely be deferred until after the team's European tour.

"They will wait until they finalise the new comings before they make his decision and that could be after returning from Europe. So let's wait until the end of July when they are back then things will be clear that time. But yes, his future hangs in the balance now. He is in limbo as a player," the second source observed.
Last season, Ndlondlo appeared in 19 games in the DStv Premiership but failed to score, while creating two assists. His performance, coupled with the club's ambitions to strengthen the team dynamically, has led to speculation about his continued role at Pirates.
Pirates look to restructure their midfield, the upcoming European tour and subsequent strategic decisions will be crucial in determining whether he remains with the Buccaneers or seeks opportunities elsewhere.
