New Clubs 'Emerge' As Favourites To Sign Greenwood

New Clubs 'Emerge' As Favourites To Sign Greenwood

Mason Greenwood's likeliest destinations next season have reportedly been revealed.

With the strong likelihood that Mason Greenwood will leave Manchester United permanently at the end of the season, two European giants are reportedly leading the race to land the young attacker's signature.

The Red Devils are currently in a transitional phase as far as their hierarchy is concern.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the CEO of INEOS, recently bought a 25% minority stake in the club, and with the British billionaire believed to now be overseeing the footballing side of operations, it seems that transitional phase will also translate to the pitch.

Earlier this week, news emerged suggesting that all but a handful of players are up for sale at Old Trafford come the current campaign's conclusion.

That would presumably include Mason Greenwood, who is currently at Getafe on a season-long loan after the charges of attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault against him were dropped in February last year, leaving him free to continue his career.

United deemed it best for everyone involved that he resume his career away from Carrington and so he went to the outskirts of Madrid, where he has been in fine form under manager Jose Bordalas.

The Bradford native has 10 goals and six assists so far this season, and has caught the attention of a multitude of European giants with his performances.

According to iNews, while Barcelona are believed to be keen on landing the England international's signature, it seems Greenwood's next destination could be either Juventus or Atletico Madrid.

The same report claims that United are, however, not desperate to sell, and if a fee in the region of £40 million (R933 million) for the striker does not materialise, then they may look at extending his deal at the Theatre of Dreams.
