African Star In Heated Clash With Coach, 'Decides' To Leave

Youssef En-Nesyri was involved in a big fallout with Sevilla's manager.

An African international was involved in a heated row with his manager on the weekend, and has reportedly decided he will now leave the club at the end of the season.

Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri was pictured getting into a verbal spat with Sevilla boss Quique Sanchez Flores on Sunday after being substituted in the 61st minute of their 2-1 loss to Celta Vigo.

The 26-year-old appeared to be unhappy about being replaced after scoring his team's only goal of the match just after the quarter-hour mark, kicking water bottles in anger while making his way to the bench.

Flores, who has previously worked in England, approached the Moroccan before the pair got into a dispute, with Argentine winger Lucas Ocampos intervening to ensure matters did not escalate any further.

According to Kooora, En-Nesyri has decided to part ways with Sevilla ahead of the 2024/25 campaign as he wants to take his career to Saudi Arabia, like his Moroccan teammate Yassine Bounou did when he left the Spanish club to join Al Hilal in 2023.

Speaking to members of the media after the game, Flores insisted that "nobody has the right to play more or less minutes than anyone else" in response to a question about the touchline incident.

En-Nesyri joined the LaLiga side from Leganes in 2020 and has since scored 67 goals in 187 matches across all competitions for the team.
