10 Changes As Broos Names Bafana Squad!

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named his squad for two upcoming international friendlies, making a few changes to the team that featured at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast not so long ago.

The Africa Cup of Nations bronze medalists are set to play against North Africans Algeria, as well as Andorra, later this month as tey prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in a few months from now. Both matches will be played away from home.

Bafana will face Andorra first on March 21, before taking on Algeria five days later. 

Broos initially named a 32-man preliminary squad for the two international friendlies, including Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma in the side. The likes of Patrick Maswanganyi, Mlondi Mbanjwa, Tshepang Moremi, Elias Mokwana, Goodman Mosele and Bradley Cross were named in the preliminary squad.

Goalkeepers: Ronwen Williams (Mamelodi Sundowns), Bruce Bvuma (Kaizer Chiefs), Ricardo Goss (Supersport United).

Defenders: Sydney Mobbie (Sekhukhune United), Thapelo Morena, Aubrey Modiba, Mothobi Mvala, Khuliso Mudau, Grant Kekana, Terrence Mashego  (all Sundowns), Nkosinathi Sibisi, Tapelo Xoki (both Orlando Pirates), Siyabonga Ngezana (FCSB, Romania). 

Midfielders: Teboho Mokoena (Sundowns), Goodman Mosele (Chippa United), Sphephelo Sithole (CD Tondela, Portugal), Grant Margeman (SuperSport).

Forwards: Themba Zwane, Thapelo Maseko (both Sundowns), Zakhele Lepasa, Evidence Makgopa, Patrick Maswanganyi (all Pirates), Oswin Appollis (Polokwane City), Mihlali Mayambela (Aris Limassol, Cyprus), Mlondi Mbanjwa (AmaZulu), Iqraam Rayners (Stellenbosch), Elias Mokwana (Sekhukhune United), Khanyisa Mayo (Cape Town City).
