PSG 'Identify' Three Possible Mbappe Replacements

PSG 'Identify' Three Possible Mbappe Replacements

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly identified three attackers they could replace Kylian Mbappe with.

With Paris Saint-Germain anticipating an official exit announcement from Kylian Mbappe soon, the French giants have reportedly drawn up a three-man shortlist of attackers who could replace their all-time top goalscorer.

It seems only a matter of time until the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner publicly declares that he will be leaving the Parc des Princes at the end of the season.

His contract with Les Parisiens expires at the end of the campaign, and with rumours suggesting that he will be leaving, the widely held expectation is that he will join Real Madrid ahead of the 2024/25 season.

PSG are, however, reportedly  not resting on their laurels, and according to L'Equipe, their fans can expect a big-name arrival as far as their attack is concerned.

The record Ligue 1 winners are expected to make academy Warren Zaire-Emery their new franchise player by giving him a big contract extension, and also plan to reintegrate Xavi Simons once he is back from his loan spell at RB Leipzig.

Per the abovementioned publication, the French giants are also set to push to sign either Victor Osimhen of Napoli, Premier League legend Mohamed Salah or AC Milan's Rafael Leao.

Rafael Leao
Rafael Leao (Portugal AC Milan)

It seems the Nigerian is at the top of the list, but given Napoli's notorious negotiation tactics, the team from the French capital could opt for one of the latter two pair.

Leao was signed by PSG sporting director, Luis Campos, back when he was on charge at Lille, so the Portugal star is already familiar with the division.

Salah, on the other hand, will be in the final year of his contract after the end of this campaign, making a move away from Anfield possible.

PSG have also not forgotten other areas of the pitch, though, with reports suggesting they will also make pushes for Manchester City's Bernardo Silva, Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich and Lille centre-back Leny Yoro.
