Mtshali’s New Swallows Deal Confirmed

Mtshali’s New Swallows Deal Confirmed

Lindokuhle Mtshali's representative has confirmed details of his new contract at Moroka Swallows after the club made a U-turn on the midfielder.

The player is one of those whose contracts were terminated at the side following their decision to not pitch up for two matches in December, against Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows respectively. The main bone of contention was unpaid salaries.

Swallows were slapped with an R1 million fine by the PSL disciplinary committee for the no-show, and as a result, several players from the Dobsonville-based outfit faced consequences as their contracts were terminated.

However, other players from the group have since returned to the Dube Birds, with Mtshali being one of them as confirmed by his agent Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi.

"Mtshali has signed a new contract with Swallows. It's true that he is one of the players whose contracts were initially terminated, but we have since agreed on a new deal and he has returned to the club for the league's resumption," said Mulovhedzi.

"We had a meeting with Swallows chairman David Mogashoa, and it was agreed that it would be good for the parties to continue with the working relationship, and we thank the chairman for that. Also, a friend of Rush Hour Sports Management, Mr. Kabelo Mashigo, who is an attorney by profession, played a big role in Lindo getting the deal. It's a six-month contract with an option to extend by two years," concluded Mulovhedzi.
