South African coach Pitso Mosimane hailed Bafana Bafana's progress to the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Bafana shocked the continent when they knocked out Morocco, winning the Afcon last 16 round fixture 2-0 on Tuesday night. Many have lauded the spirited performance of South Africa including the Abha Club coach who highlighted the team's tactical discipline.

"No arguments, South Africa is one of the most tactically disciplined in the tournament. No frills, just grinding," Mosimane wrote on his X social media profile.
Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena was the star of the show against the Atlas Lions and scored a delightful free-kick in time added on to make sure of the famous victory. The way he marshaled the midfield and fought gallantly against Manchester United's Sofyan Amrabat while drifting between defence and attack impressed many pundits, in particular Mosimane.
According to the former Al Ahly SC coach, the 27-year-old 'stepped on every grass leaf on the pitch' and showed maturity to dispatch the free-kick in a key pressure moment.
"Teboho Mokoena! What a player. The free-kick he scored was the icing on the cake," Mosimane stated on his social media account.
Not many expected Bafana to get this far in the tournament after losing their opener to Mali, but they have since moved up two levels by boasting three successive clean sheets.
Up front, the goals haven't dried up as South Africa have scored six times in three encounters – the most in the 4-0 win over Namibia in the group stages.
Next up, Bafana take on Cape Verde in the quarter-finals on Saturday.
