As reported by the Siya crew, Bienvenu Eva Nga has parted ways with the Buccaneers after one-and-a-half years at the club. This has now been officially confirmed in a statement released by the Soweto giants on Thursday, 25 January.

However the club has simultaneously bolstered their attack.

Pirates welcome back Tshegofatso Mabasa to the club. The Sea Robbers confirmed the return of the 25-year-old striker who spent the first half of the season on loan in the Birds' nest.

The loan move appears to have worked wonders for the former Bloemfontein Celtic man as he managed to regain his goalscoring form under coach Steve Komphela.

In 15 matches played in this campaign, he managed an impressive six goals, just one behind joint-leading goalscorers Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Khanyisa Mayo who have netted seven each.

Pirates restart their campaign on February 13 with a home fixture against Chippa United. The Buccaneers currently occupy fifth spot on the log standings.
