Benjamin hailed his team's performance, insisting that he had immense pride in his team for their historic achievement, according to CAFOnline.

"It's an ecstatic feeling that I can't describe. I am proud to be Namibian and be a coach of these players," said the tactician, who is this edition's youngest coach.

"We were never really given a chance. We are just happy that we could go on the field and play a good match and win.

"I can only imagine what is happening in the streets of Namibia right now. This victory is dedicated to them.

"Tonight, of course we celebrate but tomorrow it is back to normal. Back to grinding and working hard as a team and for our people back home."

According to Reuters, Benjamin was also quoted saying after the match: "This is a big achievement for us, nobody gave us a chance. This is a success for a country that really needs success," said Namibia coach Collin Benjamin.

"We are not a team that can brag before the game, because everyone calls us 'underdogs'. We can only talk on the pitch," he added.

Meanwhile, Tunisia boss Jalel Kadri said: "We lost control in midfield and they caught us with their pace and aggression."
