Sundowns currently have 11 players representing the club at AFCON – the most of any other club.
However, with a squad as big as that of the Brazilians, the Chloorkop training ground will be a full one when the club returns to training next week.
As reported by the Siya crew late last year, Sundowns have secured the services of 23-year-old midfielder Matias Esquivel on a four-year deal.
The Brazilians, however, are yet to confirm the Argentine's capture.
The Siya crew has dug further and has been led to believe that Esquivel will be making his way to the nation's capital this week, having secured a transfer from Lanus in the Argentine Premier League.
He follows young right back Zuko Mdunyelwa who was signed by the Brazilians from Chippa United.
Sundowns already have five South Americans on their roster in Marcello Allende, Gaston Sirino, Lucas Ribeiro, Erwin Saavedra and Junior Mendieta. Though it remains to be seen which of these players will be sacrificed for the new recruit who would come in with a $2.5 million (±R46 million) price tag.
