According to El Chiringuito journalist Francisco Buyo, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner is "closer" to signing for Real Madrid than he was half a year ago.
He reports that the 25-year-old is unlikely to extend his stay in Paris, where he has played since joining the French giants from Monaco, initially on loan, in 2017.
From January, Mbappe will have the freedom to negotiate with any potential interested parties should he want to sign a pre-contract elsewhere, although PSG are expected to still look to tempt him into a renewal.
The French club has successfully fended Los Blancos off in the past, such as in 2022, when he penned a new-year deal despite appearing close to giving Real the greenlight.
Earlier this year, though, Mbappe informed the Ligue 1 champions that he would not be staying in France beyond June 2024, leading to suspicion he has finally chosen to join his dream club.
