Junior Khanye has spoken on why he recently visited former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana player Lerato Chabangu, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.
Images of the two ex-footballers have been trending on social media this week after they were posted on Khanye's official Twitter account confirming visiting Chabangu at his Tembisa home on Tuesday.

While Khanye has maintained that the visit was genuine as he needed to catch up with a former teammate, some social media users accused the former Kaizer Chiefs star of making a mockery of his friend who didn't appear to be in a good state following several previous media reports that he was down and out since his career finished.
Aghahowa, as Khanye is fondly known after former Nigeria striker Julius, has set the record straight about his visit.

"It was a genuine visit and I just decided to visit Lerato as a friend of mine and there wasn't more to it. Lerato is a former teammate of mine from the U20 and U23 national teams and that's one of the reasons I decided to visit him just to catch up," said Khanye.
"I see that the pictures we took have been trending and that wasn't the aim to be honest, but it was just a visit to a friend like I say. Ever since, I have been getting enquiries from people who would like to lay a helping hand to the brother and to me that's good to see," the popular football analyst said.
