It has seemingly not been an easy time for the 23-year-old since making his move to Old Trafford, having failed to replicate the form that earned him the lucrative €85 million (R1.7 billion) transfer from Borussia Dortmund.
Sancho has seen his time with the Mancunians go from bad to worse in recent months, following his public row with United manager Erik ten Hag.
His omission from the matchday squad for their Premier League encounter against Arsenal has snowballed into a serious breakdown in the relationship between them.
It is believed that an apology from the winger would mend the connection, but it looks as though the London native has no intention of continuing his career at the Theatre of Dreams.
According to 90min, instead, Sancho wants to return to the club where he established himself as one of football's brightest rising stars, Dortmund.
A number of clubs in the Bundesliga are believed to be monitoring the England international's situation, but having maintained a strong relationship with BVB since leaving Signal Iduna Park, it is said both parties can envisage a return for the attacker.

United will be looking to recoup a large part of the sum they paid Dortmund in 2021 if they are to sell him, but with January rarely producing big-money deals, if Sancho is to leave for the German giants mid-season, then he will likely do so on a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy.
