Kaizer Chiefs' move to rope in renowned Sports Psychologist Dr. Henning Gericke is already yielding results especially in the performance of goalkeeper Brandon Petersen according to head coach Molefi Ntseki.

Petersen maintained his place in the Chiefs starting XI for their match against Sekhukhune United on Wednesday evening despite an early blunder against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final over the weekend.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a solid outing against Babina Noko as Chiefs claimed a 2-1 win at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Speaking to the media after the match, Ntseki heaped praise on his club bosses for adding an extra element to the club's technical team in the form of Dr Gericke, who has been working with the players since being appointed last month.
"The most important thing is that he is a leader, we are talking of a captain – but we need to thank the club because they have employed a mental coach and he's doing wonders in our players. At the same time the mental coach also works very closely with the tactical element in the game," he told journalists.
"When it comes to Brandon, we have had situations like this before, we have had moments where we have lost the game and we have had moments where he saved us. In terms of his quality and his contribution, the goalkeeping department stood by him, [he received] support from Itumeleng Khune, Bruce Bvuma, Bontle Molefe and the whole technical team.
"Not every game will be a good game and mistakes do happen in football. If ever we can count the mistakes, we wont have anybody playing for the team and I think we are very proud of his performance, apart from what happened last week, those are things that will happen in a game – we know what happened. The most important thing was for us to stand together and give him the support and also to prepare him for this game on the physical side and the tactical side because the same ball that ended up in goal last week, he handled it and he did very well in handling such kick off that we are using, so I think it was just a mistake – how many chances do strikers miss, which is a mistake but we always keep that striker on the pitch," he concluded.
