Result: Bayern Munich 7-0 Bochum

Date: 23 September 2023

Venue: Allianz Arena

Thomas Tuchel made four changes from the side that defeated Manchster United on Wednesday, with Noussair Mazaroui, Kingsley Coman, Eric Choupo-Moting and Matthijs de Ligt.

The decision to include Choupo-Moting paid dividends after just four minutes when thr Cameroon international got on the end of Coman's cross to slot home his first goal of the season.

The lead was doubled in the 12th minute when Alphonso Davies' pass deflected into the path of Kane, who calmly slotted home from ten yards out to put his side in a comfortable position.

It was one-way traffic for most of the first stanza, as Tuchel's charges went on to bag a third goal as the returning De Ligt opened his account for the campaign by nodding home a corner from Joshua Kimmich.

Bayern managed to grab a fourth goal just before the halftime break, with Kane turning provider to pick out Leroy Sane who sent a low finish into the back of the net to make it two goals in two games.

The league champions carried that momentum into th second half and were awarded a penalty eight minutes for a foul on Choupo-Moting, which allowed Kane to step up and convert to complete his brace.

Bochum, meanwhile, barely offered resistence at the other end of the pitch as Bayern goalkeeper Sven Ulreich did not any big save to make for most of the encounter.

The home side managed to bag a sixth goal with nine minutes left on the clock as Kane picked up his second assist by playing in Mathys Tel, who curled a fine finish into the back of the net.

Kane would go on to gra his hat-trick in the final two minutes to round off an emphatic afternoon, as Tuchel's charges moved to the top of the Bundesliga standings.
