Although it initially seemed as if Mamelodi Sundowns would keep Sammy Seabi this season, the Siya crew understands he has asked the club to leave on loan or release him now.

Siya sources close to the club have indicated that Seabi, who joined from Polokwane City, has spent most of his time on loan at different clubs and now wants more game time away from the Brazilians.
The source added that the player is getting worried that time is running out on his side to be playing regularly at 28 years of age.
"He feels like at this stage of his career he should be playing regularly no matter where he is playing. That's why he has requested for a move," said the Siya source.
"He says whether it's a loan or permanent move, either is fine for him as long as he can find a team where he can be playing week in week out," the source told the Siya crew.
A different source added that since there were other clubs interested in his services, Seabi feels he deserves to go where he will have a better chance to play.
"Yes, there were teams interested to have him on loan but the club didn't agree at that time. It was Chippa United, Moroka Swallows and Polokwane City but Sekhukhune United also wanted to keep him after the loan deal had expired last season," said the other Siya source.
"So let's wait and see what will happen because time is running out right now for his request," the source concluded.
Soccer Laduma contacted Sundowns for a comment but there was no response while this story was prepared.
