Lebusa: Sundowns' Plan For Lepasa

Lebusa: Sundowns' Plan For Lepasa

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa believes Zakhele Lepasa's form for Orlando Pirates is good for the country, but he has gone into detail into why they need to cut supply to the striker.

Lepasa, who was recently with Bafana Bafana for the friendly matches against Namibia and DR Congo, has found the back of the net 10 times in all competitions in this campaign and will be itching to add to that number when he comes up against a Sundowns side that has kept four clean sheets in a row in the Premiership. Sundowns visit Pirates at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night, eager to extend their run of wins in the league to seven.

With Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena tweaking his side now and again, Lebusa will have his fingers crossed that he will get an opportunity to face the in-form Lepasa.

"First of all, he is in unbelievable form and it's good for the country," Lebusa told media during a press conference held at Chloorkop on Monday.

"But, we focus more on the team. We will try to make sure that we cut the supply to him and make sure that we don't give him a chance. We focus more on the team as a whole, not on individuals. It's nice to be tested by a person who is really high on form. It makes your concentration levels high and you have to be on your toes. I think the whole team has to be on its toes. It's a big game. Everyone wants to play a game of that magnitude."

Sundowns, meanwhile, have Peter Shalulile back from injury and available to take on the Buccaneers. The Namibian international was on the bench when Sundowns took on Tanzanian outfit Bumamuru FC on Friday.
