Veteran Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune should be elevated to a higher role at the club, this according to the legendary Joseph 'Banks' Setlhodi.
This season, Khune is yet to feature for Amakhosi under head coach Molefi Ntseki as Brandon Petersen has been the team's number one.

In June this year, when Chiefs confirmed a new contract for Khune, the club stated that it was the final deal for the veteran shot-stopper as a player.
The 36-year-old has been with the Soweto giants for over two decades and Setlhodi believes that the Ventersdorp-born player would be the right choice for the club's goalkeeper coaching role.
Khune has already been working under renowned goalkeeper trainer Rainer Dinkelacker, as well as Aubrey Mathibe and Rory Minnaar in Chiefs' goalkeeping department.
"My wish is to see Itumeleng Khune being the goalkeeper coach of Kaizer Chiefs. Khune is from my hands and he's got my philosophy. I think it would be easy for him to share his knowledge with the younger goalkeepers at the club," said Setlhodi.

"Khune has had his time as a player and he can now switch into a new role and I would like to see Kaizer and Bobby (Motaung) putting Khune in charge of the goalkeepers. He's got everything that is needed for him to be a goalkeeper coach. I was there with him and I know what I am talking about. I was there with Brian (Baloyi) and I don't foresee any problem for Itumeleng to be a goalkeeper coach at Chiefs. He can be the best of the best when it comes to that position," he said.
