Beckham Responds To Leagues Cup Being 'Fixed'

Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has responded to bizarre claims that the Leagues Cup was 'fixed'.

The arrival of Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba has made fans forget about their poor form in Major League Soccer campaign, where they sit last in the Eastern Conference.

Messi played a key role to help Miami win their first-ever trophy last week with the Leagues Cup, where he finished as top scorer with seven goals.

"Every time Leo [Messi] scores one of these goals, every time Busi [Sergio Busquets] makes one of these passes, every time Jordi [Alba] makes one of these runs, people say 'Is it a fix?'," Beckham said, as per Mirror.

"It's the biggest compliment that anyone can give these players because it is like a movie. You watch these players play and it's emotional because everything about their play is beautiful.

"Everything about their mannerisms is beautiful and everything about them as individuals, off the pitch, is beautiful."

Messi will finally get his first taste of MLS action when Miami take on New York Red Bulls on Sunday morning.
