Following the signing of Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy, Soweto giants Orlando Pirates have welcomed another goalkeeper to their squad ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The Buccaneers, who are set to head to Spain for pre-season, are understood to have signed goalkeeper SiphamandlaGumede ahead of the new season and he is already with the squad in Rustenburg, where they are currently training before their tour of Europe in the coming weeks.

Gumede was one of the stand out performers during the Nedbank Cup for ABC Motsepe League club Dondol Stars, playing a key role as they booked themselves a spot in the quarterfinals of the competition.
On their way to the last eight of the competition, Dondol beat DSTV Premiership sides SuperSport United and AmaZulu, but were knocked out by Pirates after a hard fought match which had to be decided after regulation time.
