Interest In Matsheke After Chiefs Exit

A midfielder who recently parted ways with Kaizer Chiefs has attracted interest as he is weighing his options for his next move, the Siya crew has learnt.

After spending the 2022/23 season with Swallows FC from Chiefs, Darrel Matsheke has officially parted ways with Amakhosi, close sources have confirmed.

During his season-long loan spell with Swallows, Matsheke amassed 32 appearances in all competitions.

News reaching the Siya crew is that SuperSport United and Cape Town Spurs are some of the clubs to have shown interest in the defensive midfielder.

"Darrel Matsheke has attracted interest from SuperSport United. Just like former Chiefs midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange, who has since signed for SuperSport, the club is keen on Matsheke too. Cape Town Spurs are another club that has shown interest in the player and a decision will soon be made by his representatives on where he will be going," the source said.
