PUMA Continues Strong Partnership With Egypt

PUMA continues its strong heritage in Africa by extending their partnership with the seven-time Africa Cup of Nations champions Egypt. Check it out! 

What's the story?

PUMA and the Egypt Football Association have announced a new long-term extension of their partnership,  building on a strong relationship that was rekindled in 2019.

In the new deal, PUMA will continue to supply performance apparel and utilize the style, tradition and culture of Egypt to develop lifestyle heritage products.

Let's take a closer look at Egypt's contract extension with PUMA.

PUMA Egypt extend partnership

PUMA announced recently that they will continue as the principal partner of the Egypt Football Association. 

The sportswear giants will continue to supply performance apparel that includes the kits for the men's, women's, and youth teams, with he new deal will also seeing PUMA becoming the Egyptian League's new ball sponsor.

"We are happy to announce our new deal with PUMA as our official Technical Sponsor in a very prosperous contract that benefits Egyptian Football," says Gamal Allam, President of the Egyptian FA.

Egypt's history with PUMA dates back to the 1990s, with a strong heritage with the Pharaohs and many other African nations.

Egyptian international Ahmed Hegazi recognises the brand's heritage on the continent and is pleased that his national team will continue on with his preferred brand:

"I have been a PUMA athlete for a large part of my career, and I am delighted at the announcement that the partnership will continue. PUMA has been a huge part of African football for many years, and we hope this will continue. We have had many successes with PUMA, and they provide our team with world-class equipment to perform at our best," says the Al- Ittihad star.

"PUMA has a strong connection to African football and will continue to invest and support football in the continent," says PUMA Senior Teamhead Sports Marketing, Paolo La Placa.

"We have a fantastic partnership with Egypt with many successful titles and look forward to continuing our great relationship as we work to give the Egyptian fans a shirt to be proud of and celebrate the Egyptian culture through product and innovation," he concludes.
