Broos Hails Bafana: 'There Were No Weak Players'

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos was full of praise for the entire team following their win over Morocco on Saturday evening.

The South African national side ended their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a 2-1 triumph over the Atlas Lions at FNB Stadium.

Broos feels the performance against Morocco shows the progress they have made over the last few months.

"It means a lot, we said and we also felt that progression in the last six, seven months but you know you have to prove it on the pitch," Broos told SuperSport after the game.

"When you have an opponent like today, for me one of the best teams for Africa for the moment and you can make a performance like today, it will give us a boost of confidence.

"There's a good basic (base) now for this team, we're still working, we can still improve but I'm very happy with the performance.

He continued, "We created many chances, we were good with the football, we combined good, we had a block when we lost the ball. I think overall it was a very good performance from everybody.

"There were no weaker players in the team, everybody does his job. Certainly the fact that against this team we created four or five very good chances, that means a lot I think."
